Dr. Aiken began his crusade early in life at the Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of his parents Bishop Joseph C. Aiken, Sr. and Mrs. Jayne E. Aiken.  While at Upper Room, Dr. Aiken began ministering as a teacher and youth leader which later led to his call to preach the Gospel.  His ministry dedication preluded his ordination as the first and only Assistant Pastor of the Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church.
